Is there anything specific you need help with regarding these exercises?
Your fitness goals can sometimes be thwarted by a lack of energy. If you wake up tired or exhausted from life's challenges, or your body can't handle physical activity the way you want.
One way to overcome this lethargy is to do sports that don't require much energy. In other words, it's better not to move too much than to risk your already low energy being depleted.
Although it can be frustrating when you can't get into a solid sweat session, moderate exercise provides multiple health benefits.
When you can't muster the energy for moderate or vigorous intensity exercise, these key activities can keep you active and boost your energy levels:
- Walking: Walk for 30 minutes at a moderate pace.
- Yoga: A 30-minute routine with 4 poses: plank; knees, chest, and chin; cobra; and downward-facing dog.
- Tai Chi: A workout: 30 to 45 minutes of Tai Chi movements.
Days when you have low energy can be due to several reasons: lack of sleep, additional stress in your life, or you exercised more one or two days before. While low energy levels can be frustrating, they are normal and require listening to how your body relaxes during exercise. If your energy remains low for an extended period, consider talking to a healthcare professional.
